Market Intelligence
Three configurable modes for stores that want fewer checkout stops — with a human in the loop wherever the system is unsure.
What is built today: the software architecture — device registry, simulated sensor events, review queue, event timeline, basket confidence indicators and a demo store. Production-grade computer vision runs on store hardware, not in a browser, and is deployed per site.
Smart checkout
DemoCameras watch a self-checkout lane and raise exceptions — unscanned item, mismatch, weight anomaly — for staff to resolve.
Assisted autonomous
DemoCameras and shelf sensors propose a virtual basket. Uncertain events go to a remote reviewer before the basket is finalised.
Checkout-free pilot
DemoEntry identification, virtual basket, customer review of the receipt, and payment through an approved provider.
Interfaces in the architecture
- IP camera event ingestion
- Shelf weight sensor readings
- Edge-computer event ingestion
- Entry QR and access events
- Remote reviewer actions
- Customer disputes and corrections
Rules we do not bend
- An ambiguous item is never charged automatically — it goes to review.
- Customers can correct a basket and dispute a line after the fact.
- Facial recognition is not used by default.
- Signage, retention periods and access controls are configured per store, and each country is reviewed before live deployment.
